Chapter 7

*The usual (aka Vivian, Jacklin, Felix, Isaac, Lucy, Zoey and Rene) are in Felix’s House while he is drawing up a Plan on a Whiteboard on how to take down the Gods with Evan’s new Powers.

*It is the middle of the Night. Evan comes out of the Toilet.

FELIX: Feeling better?

EVAN: Feels like my Atoms are being disintegrated one by one.

ISAAC: You look like it.

EVAN: Thanks.

*He plops down in a free chair away from everyone else.

LUCY: I’m sorry I can’t help.

EVAN: It’s fine. But I would prefer if we did this sooner rather than later. Maybe figure a way to get this thing out of me.

VIVIAN: …

ZOEY: I’m sure we will figure something out.

RENE: We better. Because Evan WILL die someday whether we like it or not and when he does, that Thing will be free again.

JACKLIN: That means we have to be on constant Watch to make sure he doesn’t die?

*Evan sneezes and releases a static shock to everyone’s Systems.

JACKLIN: And make sure he doesn’t accidentally kill someone else.

RENE: Yup.

ZOEY: That’s going to be hard once he’s old…

FELIX: With the way he looks he probably won’t even make it past next week.

ISAAC: What if we instead killed Evan in the higher Strata, let it kill the Gods for us and then revived him again? It worked before, right?

FELIX: Too risky. It might ignore them and go for innocent People there instead.

EVAN: You also won’t be able to revive me again.

*Everyone in the Room looks at him.

JACKLIN: What?

EVAN: I already tested this with Vivian way back when. After it got in Contact with a Cannibal Magic won’t work on it anymore.

VIVIAN: That’s why we had to resort to stitching instead of Lucy simply being able to heal my Scars.

ZOEY: Wait so…… When we die our Soul gets to keep going, but when you die… You are gone forever?

EVAN: Yeah pretty much.

LUCY: That’s not fair!!

EVAN: That’s just how it is. Let’s focus.

ZOEY: Shouldn’t we make sure Evan makes some good Memories in case something bad happens?

*Felix tries to get everyone to focus on the Plan to take down the Gods, but everyone is too distracted by Evan’s condition. After a while he gives up and instead tells everyone to go home and come back tomorrow.

*Evan and Vivian are staying at Jacklin’s Place. Neither of them can sleep so they watch TV instead. Vivian is keeping Distance from Evan.

*Zoey went back to her Home. Isaac and Lucy got a (free) Hotel Room in Nix as thanks for freeing their Land. Rene decided to take Felix up on his offer and slept at his Place that Night.

*Felix told everyone to meet back up at 9am. Isaac gets woken up at 9:15 by Rene knocking on her Door.

RENE: Isaac, you’re late!

ISAAC: And? He can wait. This isn’t a Job.

LUCY: I would still like to go over there to check how everyone is doing.

*Isaac bursts out of her Room moments later fully Prepared.

ISAAC: Well let’s not waste any time then.

*Rene has also picked up Zoey already.

RENE: I gave Felix your Portal Key so that he can pick up the others, OK? You are the last Person we were waiting for.

ISAAC: Sheesh. Calm down for a sec.

RENE: Yeah yeah-

*He opens up a Portal.

RENE: Now hurry up we are already late.

*Everyone steps through the Portal.

*They do not appear in Felix’s House. They are in the Mansion located in the higher Strata. Rene closes the Portal.

ISAAC: The heck?!

*A Light turns on, revealing G standing right in front of them. Lucy hides behind Isaac. Zoey freezes in shock. Rene is unfazed.

G: Hello, Isaac. Have you been well?

ISAAC: I’m perfectly fine. Why do you ask?

G: I’m just wondering. I’ve been hearing some worrying things about you recently.

ISAAC: From Ed probably.

G: Sure. From Ed.

ZOEY: W-what kind of worrying thing?

G: Isaac, my Girl. Are you working together with that… what was his Name again? Erik? Ernst?

LUCY: Evan?

G: That’s the one.

ISAAC: What? NO! Why would I ever do that?

ISAAC: And even if I did? Why do you care? I’m doing what you’re telling me, am I not?

G: Are you now…

G: Then why not take off that Eyepatch? You don’t really need it anymore, right?

ISAAC: What do you-

G: That wound was always just in your Mind. A Scar from someone who didn’t play by the rules. But you got the last Laugh.

*G’s smile disappears.

G: So take it off.

ISAAC: I don’t-

ZOEY: (Just do it…)

ISAAC: …

*Isaac wordlessly removes her Eyepatch. Behind it the Wound looks like it was just inflicted yesterday.

G: Oh Isaac… I thought you were better than this…

LUCY: B-but! There’s nothing wrong with her!

G: No, little Mutant. There is a lot wrong with her. Isaac! You were meant for Greatness! But something went wrong. And this Evan Person was the Cause. Destroying him should have repaired things, but it seems I was mistaken.

ZOEY: “Repaired”? What are you talking about? Sure she can be rude and selfish, but she has been working on that!

ISAAC: Uh…Thanks?

NICKEL: That is because a Mortal like you could never understand. She is not like you.

*Nickel and Grim step out of the Shadows behind G.

NICKEL: Isaac didn’t need to go through hardship to become stronger. She was born powerful. The only thing holding her back is her doubt in herself. The Perfect Specimen. Forever tainted.

ISAAC: I have no idea what you Guys are even talking about! I am plenty powerful!

G: Powerful enough to kill a Cannibal?

ISAAC: ? Wait.

*She thinks about the Contract in her Pocket.

ISAAC: (So that’s what that is about.)

ISAAC: Well good news then! I already defeated one!

ZOEY: R-right! We did.

LUCY: Because! Isaac is very strong!

RENE: …

GRIM: So you say…

G: Then prove it.

ISAAC: How? You aren’t planning to call any Cannibals here, right?

*G snaps their Fingers. Grim floats up to Isaac and towers above her.

G: Kill them.

ISAAC: Wha-

ZOEY: You can’t be serious.

GRIM: If you are truly capable of it then I am without Purpose. This was always the plan.

*Isaac raises her Hands towards Grim. They close all of their Eyes.

*She hesitates.

NICKEL: What are you waiting for? Do it.

ISAAC: Don’t rush me!

NICKEL: Were this a real fight you would already be dead.

ISAAC: …

*She pulls out the Contract from her Jacket and smashes it directly onto Grim’s Face(?). It disintegrates.

ISAAC: FINE! You got me. But it doesn’t matter! The Contract I just destroyed was the only thing keeping me here. So if you want me to do ANYTHING for you, you better fess up!

RENE: (Not your smartest move, Isaac.)

RENE: (That was also the only thing making them keep you around.)

G: It really is a shame… I hoped Rene was simply mistaken. But it seems he was right about you.

ZOEY: Wait. You really did sell us out? I thought we were friends!

RENE: I-i-it’s not like that! I swear.

*The Ground swallows up Lucy.

ZOEY: Lucy!

*Rene grabs Zoey from behind and puts a Katana at her Throat.

ZOEY: “Not like that” huh.

RENE: …I’m sorry.

*Lucy pops back out next to G, completely restrained by malleable Floor.

LUCY: Gh. Can’t get out.

G: You know? Maybe it is time to tell you after all.

G: Your Mother? Is dead.

ISAAC: What? No! You’re lying!

G: Why would I? She was a nuisance. She stole away my perfect replacement. Left our Group behind and created an Abomination with a Mortal.

*He looks at Lucy, who is trying desperately to break out.

ISAAC: She… She wouldn’t die that easily!

G: You are correct about that. We were not able to. So we sent her to the Void, just like all the Mortals that she cared about so much. We can at least take solace in the Fact that her suffering was long and arduous.

*Isaac looks to the Floor. Filled with Rage.

G: And now the same Fate will befall you three! Isn’t that great?

*Isaac’s Eyes widen.

ISAAC: NOT ON MY WATCH!

NICKEL: Silence.

G: No no. Let her finish. She still has some fight in her.

ISAAC: You killed my mother. And now you are threatening my sister. I’M GOING TO KILL YOU! RIGHT HERE! RIGHT NOW!

NICKEL: This is a waste of time, G. Let us just.

G: Not one more Word, Nickel.

G: I accept! If you can defeat me in a Fight I will let your Friends go! One on One!

ISAAC: Then bring it on!

*G begins by morphing the Floor to grab her just like Lucy, but Isaac springs out before that. Isaac attempts to impale them by stretching her Arm but is blocked by a falling Mirror. The Fight continues. Isaac goes all out and is fully on the offensive. So much so that she doesn’t even notice that G is barely breaking a sweat.

G: Is this all you are capable of? Don’t we have the same Powers? Take this seriously!

ISAAC: !

*Isaac thinks of an approach and gets on all four. She morphs the Ground and grabs onto G’s Feet.

G: Yes! That’s what I am talking about! Now it’s getting interesting!

*Isaac pulls him underground and tries to crush him.

G: Good Idea. Let me try that as well.

*Isaac gets pulled under as well. She tries to overpower G’s Magic but is too weak.

*All the others can hear is a crunching Sound as Isaac’s body is reduced to mush. G reemerges from the Floor.

NICKEL: Are you done?

LUCY: Is… is Isaac… dead?

GRIM: For now. She will most likely reawaken in a bit. She seems feisty.

G: I will let her try again when she does. For as many times as it takes until she finally understands.

NICKEL: But first. You.

*He turns to Lucy.

G: Your Sister failed you. But look on the bright side. You will be able to say that you grew up to be just like your Mommy.

*Grim opens a portal that doesn’t seem to lead anywhere. Nickel grabs Lucy out of the Ground and throws her in. The Portal closes behind her.

ZOEY: Lucy!

RENE: I’m going to take care of this one.

*Rene opens a Portal while the others are busy and walks through it with Zoey. The Portal closes.

*They are on a Street in Hinscheid. Rene lets Zoey go.

RENE: There we go. You’re safe.

ZOEY: s-SAFE?! You almost just cut my head off!

RENE: Well I had to make it look convincing.

ZOEY: What are you-

RENE: I’m on your side. Don’t worry.

ZOEY: T-then why didn’t you do anything?! Isaac and Lucy. They are…

RENE: I… Look. I am sorry.

ZOEY: We could have helped! We could have-

ZOEY: We could have…

RENE: No! If we had you would have died too. As long as you stay put, they won’t know you’re still alive.

ZOEY: B-b-but-

RENE: Look-

ZOEY: What about the others? Are they OK?

ZOEY: Did you kill Jacklin too?!

RENE: LOOK!

*Rene tries to put a Hand on her Shoulder. Zoey reflexively backs away. Her Spirit Guardian comes out and puts itself between them.

*They look at each other for a Moment that felt like Hours.

ZOEY: Stay the heck away from me.

*After that Zoey runs away. She does not look back. The Guardian disappears leaving Rene standing by himself.

*A Few Minutes earlier.

EVAN: Where the Fuck is Isaac?

*The others are standing in front of Isaac’s Hotel Room after having waited an Hour for Isaac and the Rest to arrive.

FELIX: I knew it would be hard to get her to wake up early, but I didn’t expect it to be this bad.

*Vivian tries calling Isaac on her Phone. Then Felix and Jacklin call Rene and Zoey. It doesn’t even Ring.

EVAN: Are their Phones off?

FELIX: Everyone’s Phones at the same time? Unlikely.

JACKLIN: Wait. Doesn’t that usually happen if we are in the higher Strata?

VIVIAN: Did they seriously go there early?

FELIX: So much for planning ahead.

JACKLIN: Wait. What if they didn’t go there willingly?

EVAN: Hm?

FELIX: You mean they somehow found out about our Plan?

VIVIAN: I’d bet Money that it was Rene’s fault.

FELIX: Be nice. He’s trying.

VIVIAN: You’re just saying that cause you have a crush on him. It was stupid of us to let him in on it.

FELIX: What? No I- I mean-

JACKLIN: We don’t have time for this! They could be in Trouble!

EVAN: She has a point. We should go to the higher Strata right away. Maybe they will still be there.

FELIX: Better to catch them by surprise than us, I guess.

*Felix opens up a Portal leading to the front of the Mansion.

*They try to enter via the front Door. It’s locked.

FELIX: Ok let’s try the back.

EVAN: We don’t have time for that.

*Evan takes a look at the Door. It’s a big double Door. He takes a stable Stance and lands a Kick on the Door next to the Doorhandle. Both Doors fly off the Hinges and break into Pieces.

…

EVAN: Don’t just stand around looking stupid. Let’s go.

*Evan walks in with the Rest following closely behind.

FELIX: (…Every day I am more glad that we are on the same side.)

*They walk towards the Throne Room. Evan burning Footprints in the Floor as the black smoke coming out of him grows bigger. They hear talking.

G: So where is Morgan? She was meant to be here and we could really use her Abilities on how to progress with Isaac.

NICKEL: I disagree. Her predictions have been increasingly inaccurate as of late. I do not believe that we can trust her anymore.

G: Hmm yes. I can see that. And as if this Day couldn’t get any worse, someone just broke down my front Door.

GRIM: I’ll take care of it.

*Evan and crew reach the Door to the Throne Room, but as he was reaching to open it the Door slinks into the Ground.

EVAN: Heh. I think he’s scared.

FELIX: Don’t get cocky now. Let’s find a way around.

JACKLIN: Why? Let’s just break down this Wall. We are right there after all.

VIVIAN: I’m not sure. This smells like a Trap.

*Felix runs up to a different Door. He puts his hand to the Handle. It’s cold.

FELIX: …Vivian back me up here.

*Vivian floats over. He opens the Door. Grim is floating on the other Side. He instantly grabs Felix by the Collar and drags him away.

VIVIAN: Damnit!

*Vivian chases after him. Evan and Jacklin attempt to as well for a few Seconds before realizing they are too slow to catch up to them.

EVAN: They will just have to take care of themselves! We’ll go with our Plan!

*They run back to the Door and with a couple well placed hits the Wall crumbles to Pieces. G and Nickel are looking at them from the other Side of the Room.

JACKLIN: There they are!

EVAN: So YOU are the Asshole behind all this!

G: …Am I supposed to know who you are?

*Vivian keeps following after Grim. At some point she notices they went into a fully black Area. She looks back and notices they went through a Portal. Grim flies through another and closes it before Vivian is able to follow them through it.

*Vivian is stranded.

VIVIAN: Oh no.

*Grim flies into yet another Portal back into the Void. Somewhere far away from Vivian.

GRIM: Any last Words?

FELIX: Who are you! Why are you doing this! Answer me!

GRIM: For what purpose? You can not change anything.

FELIX: Well, I might not. But Evan can. He’s going to kill your Boss.

GRIM: Evan is a regular Mortal. What could he possibly do?

FELIX: He got the Power of a Cannibal now. And he will be MAD if you let us die. So- So you better think carefully about what you are going to do to me.

GRIM: You brought a wild Cannibal into the higher Strata?!

FELIX: W-well. Yes. I mean Vivian is also-

GRIM: Hmm. Perhaps it is time then. I will have to see this for myself.

*Without another Word Grim leaves the Way he came. Leaving Felix alone in the Nothingness.

FELIX: Not the Reaction I hoped for.

*He pulls out his own Portal Key and leaves as fast as he can.

JACKLIN: Uh. Helloooo? Evan? The Guy that’s been a thorn in your Side for a while now?

G: That’s him?

JACKLIN: YES!

G: I expected someone more… Threatening.

EVAN: Try saying that again when I detach your Head from your Body.

NICKEL: Grim has taken your Friends hostage. I advise that you stop your Threats if you want to ensure their safety.

EVAN: You Chucklenuts just love making Deals, huh? I don’t believe you for a Second.

*Evan and Jacklin switch to an offensive stance.

*Nickel grabs ahold of Jacklin and floats her over towards him. She is fully unable to move.

NICKEL: Is this more up your alley? Step down or I will kill your Friend right in front of your Eyes.

EVAN: You wouldn’t dare!

G: Never one for fun, are you Nickel?

NICKEL: You had your Fun when you fought Isaac earlier. Fun times are over.

EVAN: So they WERE here…

G: Yep. A real shame. I thought they would give a better fight.

EVAN: What did you-?

NICKEL: They have been appropriately disposed of.

JACKLIN: Y-you don’t mean-

*Evan runs towards them. The Moment that he does Nickel uses his Telekinesis to Tear off Jacklin’s Head. Blood sprays everywhere.

*Evan’s Eyes shoot open. He ###########################################################

*Evan is lifting up G by his Throat, gripping tightly.

NICKEL: Stop! You do not know what will happen if you do this! If you kill him this entire Place will fall apart! Everyone here will die too!

*Evan looks at Nickel. Not loosening his grip in the slightest.

EVAN: …

*G attempts to grab Evan’s Arm. He can dissolve some of the Dark Energy, but his Body is too weak to affect Evan’s Physical Body. Evan smashes his Head into the Back of his Throne, breaking it into Bits. G is flailing, trying to move parts of the building.

G: Grk. What are you standing around for, Nickel? Do something!

*Nickel looks at the Situation from a safe Distance.

NICKEL: It appears that this is where we part ways, Sir. You have outlived your usefulness.

G: What?!

*Nickel flies away, leaving G alone with Evan.

*Evan gives him a wide smile.

EVAN: You’re what. A Million Years old, and you still couldn’t find a single loyal Partner, huh? It would almost be sad if you weren’t such a huge sack of shit.

G: This. This is not how it ends. It can’t be!

EVAN: Oh put a Sock in it.

*Evan lines him up and punches him clean through his Skull. His body dissolves immediately.

*His spirit starts floating above where he died. The Smoke around Evan grabs ahold of it and absorbs it. He shivers.

*He looks over and sees Jacklin’s decapitated Body. It’s hard to look at. Her Dragon Persona has turned to dust, leaving only her original Human form. Above her is Jacklin’s Spirit. It looks like 2 Spirits stitched together.

EVAN: Must’ve been painful. But it’s nice knowing that you aren’t dead forever.

*Suddenly an Earthquake. Cracks appear in the Walls.

EVAN: Shit. We need to get out of here.

*He reaches his Hand towards Jacklin’s Spirit. He sees the Smoke reaching towards her as well and immediately pulls it away.

EVAN: No. Can’t risk this.

EVAN: I need to find Felix and Vivian. Now!

*Grim floats into the Room and witnesses the Scene before him.

GRIM: I see So he was correct after all.

EVAN: Hey, you! What’d you do to my Buddies?

GRIM: Sent them to the Void. Like many others before.

EVAN: You don’t sound particularly proud of it.

GRIM: No… I suppose not.

GRIM: Perhaps It was time.
I apologize.

EVAN: Apologize? You’re not going to fight?

EVAN: How about you bring my Friends back then?

GRIM: That will be impossible.

EVAN: Why?

GRIM: The Void is ever changing. Even if I went to the same spot again. They will not be there.

EVAN: Bullshit! I don’t believe you. Also Felix had a Portal Key. He could have just escaped himself.

GRIM: It is the truth. I can show you if you’d like.

EVAN: Sure. As long as you give me the Key first. I don’t trust you guys for a second.

GRIM: I suppose that is fair.

*Grim opens a Portal. Before going inside they hand Evan the Portal Key. They make sure not to touch Evan as they do so.

*They walk inside.

*Felix Portals back into the Mansion. He arrives just in Time to see the building crash in on itself. He quickly teleports again before he can get crushed. He arrives back in his House in Hinscheid.

FELIX: Oh no, this is bad. Uhh. Uhhh. Come on think…

FELIX: Maybe they met up with Isaac and went back here after? It’s a long shot, but…

*He starts calling everyone’s Numbers. None of them Ring. He was getting increasingly worried until he got to Zoey.

ZOEY: Hello?! Felix?!

FELIX: Oh! Zoey! You’re alive!

ZOEY: I am so glad I am not the only one left. What happened?

FELIX: Hold on. Tell me where you are and I can tell you in Person.

*Evan and Grim are in the Void.

EVAN: So where are we?

GRIM: We are still in the Mansion.

*Evan turns around to look at Grim. The Scenery behind him is indeed the Mansion. Undestroyed.

EVAN: Wh-

GRIM: Just a little trick.

*Grim swipes through the Walls. They disperse as if nothing was ever there.

GRIM: This is the Void. The Resting Place of the Deceased. It-

EVAN: Hey, if you’re gonna do a Lore dump can you stop the Text spacing bit?

GRIM: Ah so you can see it too?

EVAN: See what?

GRIM:

GRIM: Never mind.

GRIM: This Place is beyond your Universe. It is literal Nothingness. Time and Space are meaningless here.

EVAN: Then why can I breathe?

GRIM: Don’t interrupt me, child.

EVAN: Right. Sorry.

GRIM: It is precisely because of this Nothingness that it is very easy to create something. The Power of your Soul simply draws it out of your Thoughts and makes it real.

EVAN: How the Fuck am I supposed to find Vivian then if “Time and Space are meaningless”?

GRIM: That matters to me not.

EVAN: Then why did you bring me here?

GRIM: You recall my purpose? To bring Souls here? I did not do so for the fun of it. There is an insatiable hunger out here. One that me, you and Vivian all possess now. It is dangerous. And if left to its own it would eventually find your Universe and your Planet. It would destroy any Spirit. No one in your Universe would be able to use Magic again. Everyone would cease to be once their Mortal Coil was no more.

EVAN: And… Why do you care?

GRIM: It is a lonely existence being by yourself. When I found out that there were others like me, I did everything they asked of me. We were united in that Goal. To live forever. Morgan made the Plans. G created the Universe we resided in. Nickel expanded it. Genny created the Mortals that would populate it. And I would deliver their Souls here to keep us safe. It was foolproof.

EVAN: Genny?

GRIM: You probably know her better as. Isaac’s “Mother”.

EVAN: Right. Isaac. The Hell did you need her for anyway?

GRIM: We eventually found out that once you run out of new Experiences your Soul will stagnate. Your Power will dwindle, but if your Will to live remains strong… Well. Let’s hope you never find out.

*Vivian floats in the Void by herself. She has been flying around for. She doesn’t even know how long. Days? Weeks? Her Body had started to decompose, so she left it behind. It was only dragging her down. She met some Lost Souls walking around in a Mishmash of Memories. None of them Important or helpful.

*She eventually floated into a Memory Zone she recognized. Shortly before a stray… something swiped through it and destroyed some of it. She avoided it and followed the Path. At the front of it is Lucy, trying to eat an imaginary Apple.

VIVIAN: LUCY!!!!

LUCY: Hmp?

*She spits it out.

LUCY: Vivian!!

*Vivan glomps Lucy to the Ground.

VIVIAN: Oh, I am SO glad to find someone out here!

VIVIAN: Wait. Why are you here?

LUCY: Those Gods threw me in here when Isaac tried to fight them.

VIVIAN: Why did you go there without us?

LUCY: We didn’t want to! Rene tricked us into going there.

VIVIAN: I KNEW we should have left that Loser behind.

LUCY: I don’t know what happened to the others. Sorry. But since you are here, we can check up on them, right?

VIVIAN: Well…

LUCY: Oh no. Did you get trapped here too?

VIVIAN: Y-yeah.

LUCY: Oh…

VIVIAN: How long have you been here?

LUCY: Maybe a few Hours.

*Vivian is confused by this.

VIVIAN: Ok.

LUCY: The People here told me to watch out for those black Cracks around here. But it’s hard to see them when everything is dark.

VIVIAN: Don’t worry. Now that I am here, I can protect you. _{I think.}

LUCY: If we work together, I’m sure we will find a way out of here.

*Vivian gives her an unsure smile.

GRIM: Point is. We needed someone else to keep our Hiding Place intact. So we created Isaac.

EVAN: Specific Choice of Words. Was Lucy created too?

GRIM: No. that was a “Solo Project” by Genny. After she abandoned us in favor of mingling with Mortals.

EVAN: And Rene?

GRIM: He was originally going to be in Isaac’s Position. But he proved to be incapable.

EVAN: You can say that again. Hah.

GRIM: But none of that matters anymore. Everything we worked for is already crumbling into dust. Thanks to you.

EVAN: What are you going to do now then?

GRIM: I am not going to do anything. My Time is over. I have no more reason to keep on existing.

EVAN: But-

GRIM: And I would advise you to do the same. If you care about your World, you will not return to it. You are a threat to its very existence.

*Before Evan is able to ask more Questions Grim turns into Dust in front of his very Eyes.

…

EVAN: “My World” never cared about me either. But Vivian did.

EVAN: Time to start looking…

*The Mansion has now fully collapsed. Jacklin’s Soul still floats above it. Inside of her Consciousness a Conversation takes place.

JACKLIN: Pain…….

JACKLIN?: Back here again…

*Jacklin opens her “eyes”. In front of her she sees a giant Dragon.

JACKLIN?: Hmm? You’re still here? I figured that would have finally separated us.

JACKLIN: You’re the other me I take it?

JACKLIN?: The one whose Body you wore, yes. And in fact. Still do.

*Jacklin looks down on herself. Even in her Mind she still looks like a Dagon.

JACKLIN: But I’m not-

JACKLIN?: Who are ya trying to convince here?

JACKLIN: …

JACKLIN?: Not like it matters now though. Ya lost. G is most likely already debating what to turn us into this time.

JACKLIN: Are you not going to do anything about it?

JACKLIN?: What is there to do? You are unconscious.

JACKLIN: I’m sure we can still figure something out.

JACKLIN?: We?

JACKLIN?: …

JACKLIN?: Nah. I will not go through that again.

JACKLIN: What do you mean?

JACKLIN?: The only thought that got me through last time was the Hope to meet up again with my brother. But I screwed it all up. And for what?

JACKLIN: …But if we are unconscious then where will you go?

JACKLIN?: I’m going to pass away. I’m done. Poof.

JACKLIN?: You like playin’ hero, right? You can keep my Powers. You will probably make better use of them than me.

JACKLIN: But I… I can’t just let you kill yourself.

JACKLIN?: Why? I lived my Life. I had some good times. I have some Regrets. But it is what it is.

JACKLIN?: Don’t make the same mistakes that I did.

*With that the giant Dragon turns to Dust. It starts to disperse but changes Direction and all flies directly into her. The Shock of that instantly wakes her up. She lands on the Rubble of the Mansion. She looks down and sees. Herself. Her own Corpse. Fully human.

*She barely even recognized it. It has been so long. But she can’t focus on that right now. She was given a second Chance. She can’t blow it. She has to save everyone! She just had to figure out how to find them.

*She blasts off into the Sky. The Blast blows away some Rubble.

*A Hand reaches out of the Remains and pulls itself out of the Ground. It’s Isaac. She looks around. The Sky is cracking. She doesn’t have the Energy to keep going right now. She just sits down.

*Jacklin flies over the higher Strata. Cracks appear in the Ground and Ceiling. It seems to be completely deserted. Eventually she comes across a Bar in the Middle of Nowhere. The Lights are on. She lands to check inside

*The only Person there is Rene who is pouring himself a Drink behind the Counter.

JACKLIN: Rene!

*Rene recoils in shock and drops the Bottle.

RENE: What? How did-? I-it’s not what it looks like!

JACKLIN: Rene, what happened? Why did you guys go without us?

RENE: We uh. We were ambushed. By the Gods.

JACKLIN: I figured. What happened to the others?

RENE: Don’t uh ask me. I don’t know.

JACKLIN: Really? How did you get away then? And why are you messing about here instead of helping? Come on!

*Jacklin walks up to Rene and tries to grab one of his Arms. He backs away.

RENE: I-I can’t.

JACKLIN: What do you-

JACKLIN: Wait. Don’t tell me…

RENE: …

*Jacklin’s Hands start flaring up with Fire.

JACKLIN: I can’t believe it!

*Rene goes into a Battle Stance too.

RENE: I… Ah screw it. I did what I had to. You wouldn’t understand!

JACKLIN: You’re right. I wouldn’t. And I never will.

*Jacklin launches herself at Rene. He blinds her with a Flash and ducks. Jacklin looks around. He’s invisible. She throws several Explosions on the Ground, billowing up Smoke. She sees Movement in the Smoke and goes again. Rene gets launched through the Wall.

*While this was happening Felix finishes catching up on everything with Zoey on the Street where Rene left her.

FELIX: Ok we need a plan to-

ZOEY: We don’t have time for Plans! Everyone could already be dead!

FELIX: Zoey, you need to calm down. Our Friends are all very skilled. It’s going to take more than that to put them down.

ZOEY: Mmm. What can we even do though? The Higher Strata is falling apart, and Lucy and Zoey are in the Void.

FELIX: Ok, hear me out on this. We talk to Ed.

ZOEY: The Guy that made us signs those Contracts? Why him?

FELIX: He has good Experience on the Gods. He might know what we could do. And frankly we should have talked to him beforehand anyway, _{but you all wanted to stay away from him.}

ZOEY: If we have no choice…

FELIX: Come on. He’s close by.

*They start heading to the Room that Ed is staying in. A Block away Felix spots Nickel walking into the building.

FELIX: Uh oh. Nickel is here.

ZOEY: What? Is he already done dealing with the others?

FELIX: Maybe. He is heading towards Ed though. I can’t imagine he would need to come here if things went smoothly.

ZOEY: We can’t take him on our own. What do we do?

FELIX: Ok. Follow my Lead. I’ll need your Help for this.

*Felix enters the building on the other Side of the Street with a View of the Room Ed is in. Zoey stays outside and lets her Astral Projection run inside the Building with Nickel. Astral Zoey slices the Door to the Room in half and attacks Nickel. He was attacking Ed who was sitting Bludgeoned on the Floor.

NICKEL: Figures that Rene was not to be trusted. No matter.

*Nickel launches several Pieces of Furniture at her, which she blocks. During this Felix takes the Shot at Nickel.

*As Felix is about to pull the Trigger, he sees Zoey get lifted up between them. The next Moment the Gun gets pulled out of his Hand and points itself at Felix’s Head. Time slows down for Felix as he tries to find a way to avoid it, but no Dice. The only effect it has is making him aware of the exact moment that the Bullet pierces his Skull.

*The Gun and Zoey get pulled back into Ed’s Room. He positions her between himself and the Astral Projection.

NICKEL: If I was dumb enough to be taken down by mere Mortals then I would not be a God.

ZOEY: Not again…

*Felix’s Soul separates from his Body. People in the Area are freaking out from the Gunshot.

NICKEL: Back to you, Ed. Finally ready to lift the Contract that is preventing me from crushing this faulty Planet to Bits?

ED: I… I can’t do that Big Man. I made a Deal you see-

NICKEL: Do not give me that drivel. I know how your Powers work. I know what you can and cannot do. If you do not comply, I will simply have to get rid of you. Permanently. Which would be quite a shame.

ED: *sigh* You always know just the right Words, Nickel.

ZOEY: W-what?! You can’t do that!

NICKEL: Quiet! Mortals are always so Noisy. If only things had gone my way back then I wouldn’t have to deal with you.

ZOEY: Wait. It was you?! You blew up the Moon?!

NICKEL: Now why would I do that? No.

*Felix wakes up. His Soul intangible. His Essence electrified. He tries to take another Shot with a Lightning Strike.

*Nickel moves Zoey to the Window. Felix stops.

NICKEL: So easily manipulated. Your Friends refuse to put you in harms way. You make for a great Hostage.

*Zoey knows he is right. She knows there is only one Person that can do anything in this Situation.

*Zoey’s Projection goes in for an Attack. Nickel moves Zoey in between them again. Zoey skewers them both.

*Nickel drops everything to the Ground from the Pain. Felix uses this Moment to Lighting Strike Nickel in his Face. Breaking off half of his Head.

*Felix quickly grabs the Portal Key from his Body’s Pocket and rushes over to them. He picks up Zoey and Portals them to the higher Strata.

NICKEL: How… annoying…

*Nickel gets back up. Half of his head now a smoldering Array of Tree Bark.

NICKEL: …Where were we.

ED: You’re getting old Nickel. The Girl was right.

*Nickel takes off his Coat and picks up Felix’s Gun.

NICKEL: …I guess we are doing this the hard Way.

*A shot Rings out.

*Felix places Zoey down on a Field. She is bleeding. A lot. She tries to put pressure on it, but the Wound goes cleanly through her.

FELIX: This looks bad. What am I supposed to do now?

*Zoey is unable to answer. Felix considers his Options.

FELIX: I’m sorry.

*He readies another Lightning Strike and fries Zoey’s Brain. Killing her instantly.

FELIX: …At least this way you don’t have to suffer.

*Zoey’s Spirit appears above the Body. Felix grabs it. The Touch delivers an electric Shock that startles her awake.

ZOEY: Ah! I’m still here! Was it a dream?!

*She looks down at herself.

FELIX: Sadly no. But thanks to you we did manage to get a hit in on Nickel. I fear he will be less merciful next time.

FELIX: I still can’t believe you did that.

ZOEY: Well. When your Choices are your own Life and the entire Planet, I think anyone would do the same, right?

FELIX: Spoken like a true Hero, heh.

ZOEY: Don’t say that. That’s Jacklin’s Thing. *She blushes.

*Zoey looks at the Sky. It almost looks like the higher Strata has gotten smaller.

FELIX: We don’t have much time. I suggest we stay away from Earth for now. Maybe we can find some of the others still here.

ZOEY: Yes. Let’s go.

*Jacklin pushes Rene to the Ground and kneels down on him. Rene doesn’t have it in him to keep going.

RENE: Just do it. Just kill me. I deserve it.

JACKLIN: …I still can’t believe that you chose those Guys over us.

RENE: Don’t act like you wouldn’t do the same in my Situation.

*Jacklin picks him up by his Collar.

JACKLIN: WHAT IS YOUR SITUATION?! TELL ME!

RENE: I-if I disobeyed, they would have killed me! Full stop!

JACKLIN: And? I would get my Head ripped off a Hundred Time over before I bend the Knee to those Guys. Besides, we are trying to stop them! They won’t be able to once we win! Do you not trust us?

RENE: No! Of course not! The Gods are Millions of Years old! They have defeated countless Enemies! Do you seriously want me to believe that some Ragtag Group of Nobodies is able to take them down? Get real!

*Jacklin slaps him.

JACKLIN: Do you want to keep being their Lackey for the Rest of your Life? You don’t even want to TRY to make things better?!

RENE: …

JACKLIN: And what about us? Did the Time you spend with us mean NOTHING to you?!

JACKLIN: Felix let you sleep in his House because he had a Crush on you and THIS is how you repay him?!

RENE: N-no! Of course it did. But-

RENE: Wait he has a crush on me?

JACKLIN: Not after today he won’t.

*Rene covers his Eyes with his Hands.

RENE: How could I be such an Idiot?

JACKLIN: Be honest. Do you really not know what happened to Zoey and the others?

RENE: Zoey is fine. She escaped. The others… not so much.

JACKLIN: Escaped? How?

RENE: …I sent her Home while the Gods were distracted.

JACKLIN: And how do I know you aren’t lying again.

*Rene gives her his Portal Key.

RENE: Go back to Earth and call her. No one laid a Finger on her. I promise.

JACKLIN: …

JACKLIN: So you disobeyed them after all.

RENE: She was no threat to their Plans. There was no reason to kill her. So I put her back on Earth. As long as she stayed put, they would never know.

JACKLIN: …You really are not like them, you know that right?

RENE: I know... I’m useless.

RENE: Just bash my Head in already. I can’t take this anymore…

*Jacklin picks him up by the Collar and stands him up.

JACKLIN: You are not getting off that easily. You owe us for messing up our Plan.

RENE: What do you mean?

JACKLIN: There are still some Gods left. And we need all the Manpower we can get.

RENE: Are you kidding me? I betray your trust, and your Choice is to give me ANOTHER Chance?! Are you stupid?! What if I’m tricking you again.

*Jacklin pokes him in the Stomach. He doubles over in Pain.

JACKLIN: Then I will simply beat you up again. It will hurt way more than any Punishment one of those Gods can dish out. And you know I’m good for it. You got that?!

RENE: Y-yes Ma’am.

*Evan walks in the Darkness. Floor only appearing shortly before he steps on it. He looks thinner than before.

EVAN: My feet hurt.

*He sits down on a Kitchen Counter and takes a quick nap. It’s not comfortable. He has the usual Dream. A Memory of the Day he killed his Father. He wakes up having not rested much.

EVAN: I really hoped these would stop after the Trial.

?: Well, if it isn’t my favorite Murder Boy! I’ve been waiting for you.

*Evan flinches. He recognizes the Voice immediately despite having not heard it in Years. It’s his father. Stefan. He turns around and assumes a defensive Stance.

EVAN: What the HELL are you doing here?

*Stefan looks just like he did the Day he died. Overweight in a Police Uniform. Slicked Back Hair with a white Streak. Full Alcohol-Soaked Beard. His Smile is almost as wide as his hollow Eyes. He is even wearing his Coat. The same one Evan is wearing right now.

STEFAN: What does it look like? I’m dead. Thanks to a certain someone here.

EVAN: Well fuck off. I’m busy.

STEFAN: Is that any Way to talk to your Father? After all this time? Tell me what you have been up to recently. Did you finally get the Death Penalty after rotting in Prison?

EVAN: No. I got declared innocent actually. And I’m not dead!

STEFAN: What a Shame. Guess the Police are completely useless without me.

EVAN: Sure.

*Evan walks away without giving him another look. Stefan puts his Hand on Evan’s Shoulder.

STEFAN: Now where do you think we are going you little Shit?

*Evan grabs his Wrist and turns around. Evan sees him without a smile for just a Moment before he goes back to his usual demeanor.

STEFAN: You just said that you never died, right? How did you get here then?

EVAN: …

STEFAN: Come on, boy. Don’t hold out on me. You must have a way back to the World of the Living, don’t you?

EVAN: …

STEFAN: You owe me that much at least after stabbing me in the back. Come on.

EVAN: I don’t owe you anything.

STEFAN: Now listen here you-

*Stefan tries to grab Evan. Evan punches him right in the Stomach. He backs away.

EVAN: You don’t deserve to come back to life!

STEFAN: Big talk coming from you. Not only did you kill me. You even stole my Coat.

*Evan is getting more pissed off by the Minute.

EVAN: You want your fucking Coat back?! You can have it!

*Evan takes off his Coat and throws it at Stefan. Revealing a Hoodie underneath.

STEFAN: And what about Neera? What did you do to her?

EVAN: …

STEFAN: Hah. I can see it on your Face. She is dead too, huh. Was that also your doing.

*Evan runs up and roundhouse kicks Stefan in the Face. Making him topple over on the Kitchen Table.

STEFAN: *Cough* You were such an awful kid, you know? You could never do as you were told. Guess that hasn’t changed.

STEFAN: It should have been you that ended up here. Not me.

*Evan starts tearing into him. His Eyes bloodshot. His Arms black with Dark Energy. He can’t think straight anymore.

*Evan regains vision as he notices that Stefan was gone. He is breathing heavily. The only thing left was him and the Coat on the Floor.

*Was Grim right after all? He really was a Danger to everyone around him. Jail. Exile. That’s where he belongs. If he wants to truly become a better Person, he will need to disappear.

EVAN: I just have to find Vivian. That’s all that matters.

*He continues on…

*Vivian is carrying Lucy while flying away from a moving Cannibal Crack.

VIVIAN: Man. They really have it out for you. You must be like a full course Meal to them.

*They come to a stop at a safe Place. It looks like Lucy’s Childhood Home.

LUCY: Vivian?

VIVIAN: Yes?

LUCY: Do you think we will ever see our Friends again?

VIVIAN: We… Of course we will.

LUCY: …Be honest. I’m not a Baby. I can take it.

VIVIAN: I… I don’t know.

LUCY: I figured.

*Lucy curls up into a Ball.

LUCY: …I’m hungry. I haven’t been hungry in so long.

VIVIAN: (That’s probably a bad Sign. Her Energy Reserves must be running low.)

LUCY: Hmm.

*Lucy puts her Fingers to her Temples and imagines something really hard. In front of her appears a Plate with Peach Cobbler.

LUCY: *gasp* It worked.

*She immediately starts wolfing it down.

VIVIAN: Does it taste good?

LUCY: Ye. Tastes just like how I remembered it.

LUCY: …I don’t feel less hungry though.

VIVIAN: Yeah. I figured it wouldn’t work like real food.

VIVIAN: And why Peach Cobbler?

LUCY: It’s the Food my mom used to make. She wasn’t all that great at Cooking, but her Peach Cobbler was always good.

VIVIAN: Your Mother was a God and yet she still had to cook huh. Crazy.

*Lucy suddenly gets Goosebumps. She turns around and sees something strange right behind her. It’s a Cannibal… with a physical Body roughly 2 Meters tall. Some Parts of it are White. Some Parts black. Constantly morphing around and rearranging itself.

VIVIAN: Wuh oh. Time to go!

*Lucy does not move. Despite everything she recognizes what is in front of her.

LUCY: Mom?

VIVIAN: MOM????!!!!

*”Mom” lurches towards Lucy. Vivian quickly pulls her out of the way.

LUCY: Wait! We can’t just leave.

VIVIAN: What are we meant to do? Look at her!

LUCY: Mom! Can you hear me! Are you in there?!

*It seems to register that it is being spoken to but does not answer.

VIVIAN: Is she still alive even?

*Lucy breaks free of Vivian’s grip and runs towards it. She grabs onto the Being.

LUCY: Mom! It’s me! Lucy! Your Daughter? Say something!

*It begins wrapping itself around Lucy. Vivian throws a Lamp at it.

VIVIAN: Lucy, I don’t care if that thing really was your mother. But it will kill you if you let it. It probably doesn’t even know what’s going on right now.

LUCY: But I can’t just leave her here!

VIVIAN: Then we will have to put it out of its Misery. It seems unstable enough to do that.

*Lucy removes herself from the Being and gives it another good look. Some Parts of it stick to her.

LUCY: But I. I will never see her again then. *She starts tearing up.

VIVIAN: It’s ok Lucy. I’m sure she would understand.

LUCY: …Alright.

*Lucy punches her mother, creating a huge Hole in her Middle Section.

LUCY: I’M SORRY MOM!

*It leans back for a bit but quickly moves back to where it was before. The Hole in it gets felled up with something resembling a Head. Vivian quickly throws a TV at it before it finishes.

VIVIAN: It’s working! Stay on the offensive!

*Lucy really doesn’t want to. She starts wailing. She closes her Eyes, grabs a part of it and repeatedly smashes it on the Ground. It splatters all over.

*They wait for a Minute and it doesn’t reform. After a while the Splatter disappears.

LUCY: Are you sure that was the right thing to do.

VIVIAN: I am sure. Yes.

*One of the Pieces leaves behind a letter. Not a Magic one. A real Letter with Paper and Ink. It reads:

“If you read this Letter then it means that I am no more. It must have been years since I was exiled to the Void. I spent a long time trying to find my way Home, but it seems for naught. I can feel the tendrils of the Cannibals getting ever so closer every Minute. If I do not make it, I hope that this Letter will find its way to my Children.

Isaac. I tried to protect you from the Life you were created for. It would have only brought you Misery. You grew up thinking you were different, perhaps Special. But please do not look down on others. The Circumstance of your Birth does not make you better or worse than others. Life is about the Choices you make. I hope that even without my Protection, that you stayed Steadfast and followed your own Path. I do not think I would be able to take it if the Gods roped you into their Schemes after all.

Lucy. My biggest regret is not being able to see you grow up. You were a Gift. One of a Kind. What kind of Person did you become? What kind of Work did you decide on? Did you find a special someone in your Life? Are you still annoying your sister all the Time? I will never know. But I want you to know that no matter what, I always loved you.

Lastly- “

*Lucy is no longer able to read the Letter as Tears fill her Goggles. She takes them off, revealing the fully Red Eyes hidden underneath. She sniffles. Vivian puts her Hand on her Shoulder. Lucy immediately hugs Vivian. She does not care that it burns.

LUCY: I miss her!! I miss my mom! I mis my dad! I miss Isaac! I miss all the others too! *sob*

VIVIAN: There. There. *Vivian pats her on the Head.

LUCY: I’m sorry for crying. I didn’t mean to. Crying is for Kids!

VIVIAN: That- No it’s not. Crying is completely reasonable.

LUCY: Really?

VIVIAN: Yes.

LUCY: But. My Mom wanted to know how I’d grow up. But I haven’t done any of these things! *sniffle* Everyone treats me like a Kid too.

LUCY: Is something wrong with me?

VIVIAN: …You said that I should be honest with you, right?

LUCY: Yes.

VIVIAN: I think it’s because you never speak up. You always let People decide things for you.

LUCY: Because I never make the right Decisions…

VIVIAN: Well. If you never try you will never get better.

LUCY: I guess you’re right…

VIVIAN: Do you want to read the rest of the Letter?

LUCY: …I can’t see well like this.

VIVIAN: Want me to do it?

LUCY: Yes…

“Lastly a Hint. Watch out for the Gods. Nickel in Particular. He is the only one still convinced that our Way of being was Reasonable. It wasn’t. It never was. I fear it was him that caused the Destruction of the World too. Keep an Eye on Morgan as well. I fear that she might turn even before G does.

VIVIAN: (“Turn”? What does that-?)

_{EVAN: VIVIAN!!!}

VIVIAN: Hm? Did you hear that?

*Vivian and Lucy look around. In the Distance they see Evan running towards them. They run towards him as well. Lucy launches herself into his Arms. He just barely manages to keep standing.

VIVIAN: Pleeease tell me you aren’t a Hallucination again.

EVAN: I think not? Wait. Why is Lucy here?

VIVIAN: Those Bastards sent her here after Rene screwed them over. What about you?

EVAN: I’m here to rescue you. But uh. Where is your Body?

VIVIAN: Eh. I grew out of it. What about your Coat? I’ve never seen you without it before.

EVAN: Eh. Same here.

LUCY: Wait. It’s good to see you again. But if you are here does that mean that you are also trapped?

*Evan quickly looks through his Pants Pockets and pulls out the Portal Key he got from Grim.

EVAN: Not to worry. I came prepared.

VIVIAN: Wait. Where did you get that from. Did you find Felix?

EVAN: I got this after Grim died.

VIVIAN: He did?

EVAN: Yeah. After I killed G, he just kind of. Stopped caring.

VIVIAN: Well that’s one less thing to worry about. Let’s get out of here. I’m so damn tired of the Void.

*Evan opens up a Portal to what used to be the Mansion. He ushers Vivian and Lucy through.

EVAN: …Thank you for everything.

VIVIAN: What?

*Evan throws the Portal Key through the Portal after they went through it, closing it. Vivian tries to run back but it is too late. She picks up the Key and creates another Portal to the same Spot. Evan is no longer there. The Void has already shifted.

*Evan once again alone sits down and rests. He has no more Plans. This is his End.

VIVIAN: …

LUCY: Why did he-?

ISAAC: Huh? Lucy?!

*Isaac was sitting not too far away from them. Utterly slack jawed at the sight of Lucy. They hug.

ISAAC: I. I thought I might never see you again.

LUCY: Me too! I was so scared. But- but then Vivian showed up and she protected me. And then- then Evan appeared and he had a Portal Key and he brought us here but for some reason he stayed behind and.

ISAAC: Of course he would have no issues...

LUCY: OH!

*Lucy pulls out the Letter she got from her mom and hands it to Isaac.

LUCY: I um. I found Mom. In the Void.

ISAAC: You… did? But then…

LUCY: She wasn’t. well. Like herself anymore… We had to…

VIVIAN: We put her to Rest…

ISAAC: …

LUCY: I’m sorry that you weren’t able to see her again.

*Isaac starts reading the Letter. Her expression stays blank.

^{ISAAC: …“the Choices you make”…}

*Jacklin flies over the higher Strata again with Rene clinging onto her Tail for dear Life. She spots Felix and Zoey chaining Portals together to travel more Distance. She dives down towards them and does a Superhero Landing. They are looking wide eyed at her. Then at Rene, lying Face down in the Dirt.

JACKLIN: So, you are okay after all.

*She looks closer. They are slightly transparent, as they are still Ghosts.

JACKLIN: Or at least I thought you were. Are you guys good?

FELIX: We are going to be Ok. Just not much use in a Fight for now.

ZOEY: More importantly. Why is HE here?!

JACKLIN: Oh. Don’t worry. I was able to beat some Sense into him.

*She does a Punching Motion. Rene waves at them from the Ground.

RENE: H-hey Guys.

ZOEY: (I don’t think we can trust him Jacklin…)

JACKLIN: If we REALLY couldn’t trust him, you would be dead already.

JACKLIN: Well, you ARE dead already, but you know what I mean.

*Rene stands up quickly.

RENE: Actually, yeah wait a minute! I thought you would be safe on Earth. What happened?!

FELIX: We had a run in with Nickel. He was beating up Ed to release him from a Contract.

RENE: What? Why?

ZOEY: He said he wants to kill all “Mortals”.

RENE: That is a HUGE Problem. We need to stop him!

JACKLIN: NOW we’re talking the same Language. Sadly, I won’t be much help against him…

ZOEY: Are you sure?

JACKLIN: Yeah uh. Last time I saw him he ripped my Head off without even touching me. Not looking forward to doing that again if I don’t have to.

FELIX: If only we knew where Vivian was. She is likely the only one that could take him on…

*Rene looks around and sees Vivian floating way above the former Mansion.

RENE: You mean over there?

*They look over.

FELIX: Yep…

JACKLIN: Let’s not waste any more time. Let’s go!

*They run up and meet up with the others. They were all very unhappy to see Rene as well, but Jacklin made them have Mercy on him after showing them the Bruises she inflicted on him.

*Lucy heals them up, which also gives Felix and Zoey their physical Bodies back. Felix looks virtually the same. Zoey is wearing the Armor that her Astral Projection was wearing, as well as a Sword and Shield.

*They all exchange Information on the current Situation. G and Grim are dead. Nickel is on Earth and trying to destroy it, though Zoey and Felix managed to land a good blow on him. The higher Strata is slowly imploding. And Evan locked himself in the Void.

FELIX: Rene. Do you know where Morgan is?

RENE: No. She completely went missing after I told them that you guys were planning something.

FELIX: Yes… Thanks for that…

RENE: You’re welcome?

FELIX: Nickel had a Plan on blowing up EARTH. But he didn’t seem interested in the Moon. So, who put all those Explosives there? It must have been Morgan. She is the only one left.

ISAAC: Where could she be? Hmm…

*As she was thinking Felix tackles her out of a Way of a Piece of the Sky that was about to fall on her.

ISAAC: Yeah, this might as well happen to me now too.

*Felix looks at the Sky Piece. There is something written on it.

“Hello Felix. I see you figured me out. If you wish to confront me, come to the Secret Lab on the Edge of the higher Strata ;)”

*Felix rubs his Temple.

FELIX: Goddamn Oracles… So annoying.

JACKLIN: Who do we go for first?

FELIX: …Nickel. He is the bigger threat. But most of us can’t lay a Finger on him.

VIVIAN: I’m like the only one, right?

RENE: Wait. What about me?

VIVIAN: What ABOUT you?

RENE: I mean he can probably tear all my Limbs off. But he most likely still thinks I’m on his Side. We might use that to our Advantage.

FELIX: We have to take what we can get.

LUCY: And the Rest of us?

FELIX: Well. We would most likely get in the Way if we went to Earth. So the Rest of us will confront Morgan.

RENE: That is absolutely a Trap. You know that, right?

FELIX: Of course. But what else do we do? Our time is limited, and we can’t leave her to her own devices.

VIVIAN: Alright. Me and Rene go to Earth. Felix, Lucy, Jacklin, Zoey and Isaac go to the Lab.

*They look at Isaac who is still on the Floor.

VIVIAN: Scratch that. I don’t think Isaac is in fighting Condition.

ZOEY: I can’t exactly blame her…

LUCY: I’m sure Evan could have helped if he was here. Why did he stay behind?

*Jacklin gives Rene’s Portal Key to Isaac.

JACKLIN: Here. This Place is not going to last much longer. Use this to Portal to Earth once it looks bad. Leave the Rest to us!

*Isaac wordlessly takes the Key and looks at it. The Earth Trembles.

FELIX: We are running out of time. Let’s move.

*They all teleport to their respective Positions leaving Isaac by herself.

*She stands up and opens a Portal into the Void. She only saw it briefly but that’s all that was necessary.

*Felix’s Crew Portals in front of the Lab. Jacklin blows up the Door. They run in. The lights are off.

*Suddenly a Spotlight turns on in the middle of the Room. The Room they are in is not the Entrance that they used before. It is a giant Hall, multiple Stories tall with a Scientific Pad in the Middle. The Spotlight is trained precisely on Morgan.

FELIX: There you are!

MORGAN: And so are you. How predictable.

MORGAN: You could have at least brought your Friend Evan here. He would have spiced things up. Even little Vivian would be enough for me. I’m not picky.

ZOEY: S-sorry?

MORGAN: It’s ok. I forgive you. You gave Nickel a good stabbing so I can’t complain there. That caused some good Chaos.

FELIX: Stop changing the Subject! We know you destroyed the Moon! Why?

MORGAN: Why do you think? Can you really not put the Pieces together yourself?

FELIX: What do you-? No. It can’t be for a Reason that simple!

JACKLIN: Why? What’s the reason?

LUCY: I don’t get it either.

FELIX: You did it because you were bored?!

MORGAN: Ding! Ding! Ding! That’s the one.

ZOEY: You killed a Billion People because you were bored?!

MORGAN: To be precise I SAVED 7 Billion from being blown up by Nickel’s harebrained Idea.

FELIX: NO! You do not get to play that Card! You could have sent those Bombs to any Point in Space. Why the Moon?!

MORGAN: Because doing so gave you Magic. And that caused a lot more Chaos.

FELIX: It also killed my Husband!

MORGAN: Oh, I know.

FELIX: Huh?

MORGAN: That was intentional. I needed that to happen. I needed you to suffer Felix.

MORGAN: You specifically.

*There is no Emotion in her Voice as she says it.

*Felix’s Eyes widen. His Pupils dilate. He goes to pull out his Revolver which isn’t there anymore. Out of Rage he runs at her swinging.

*Lucy grabs Felix’s Arm.

LUCY: Wait!

FELIX: No! Let me go! I finally found the Culprit! I NEED THIS!

ZOEY: Felix! Open your Eyes!

*He looks back at her. He senses it now. A Static behind her Eyes. A Darkness in her Aura.

LUCY: It’s just like my mom! She’s turning into a Cannibal!

?: She’s WHAT?!

*The Rest of the Lights turn on. Revealing that the Rest of the Room is filled with the entire Populace of the higher Strata.

MORGAN: Aww. You just had to ruin the Surprise didn’t you. But it’s too late.

*An Earthquake happens. Causing some Rubble to block the Exit outside.

MORGAN: YOU ARE ALL TRAPPED IN HERE WITH ME! UNTIL WE ALL DIE TOGETHER!

BARKEEP: You liar! You said that we’d be able to save the higher Strata by uniting here.

MORGAN: And you really believed me. Despite never really caring for us Gods.

ZOEY: If she’s a Cannibal then we need to Leave! Now!

FELIX: We need to take her down before she becomes a Danger!

JACKLIN: And what about all the other People here?

KOBOLD: Yeah! I don’t want to die here!

FELIX: Fine. You take care of Evacuation.

*Felix pulls out the Portal Key. But as Jacklin takes it Morgan snatches it with a Tentacle.

MORGAN: Oh no no. We can’t have this now can we. Let me just-

*She begins breaking the Key in half. It snaps and crackles with energy as she does.

*Lucy launches herself from where she is standing and dropkicks Morgan in her Stomach. She drops the Key. Lucy lands and throws the Key back to Felix.

LUCY: I’ll hold her off!

FELIX: No Time to waste!

*Felix opens a Portal to Hinscheid and ushers the Spirits through.

?: But how can we know that we can trust you?

FELIX: Look. If you want to take your Chances with Her, then be my Guest.

?: …Fair enough.

*Jacklin jumps to the higher Floors and carries Spirits that have a harder Time getting down.

*Morgan rights herself up and throws Lucy at a Wall. Her Horns get stuck, trapping her in Place.

MORGAN: nO! You will noT TAkE this FrOM mE!

*She shoots a dark Tentacle at Lucy.

*Zoey jumps in front of it with a Spectral Shield. Morgan pushes harder. The Shield begins to Crack.

*Suddenly it’s Strength weakens.

BARKEEP: You can view this as my Resignation.

*The Barkeep is using her Third Eye to suppress Morgan’s Magic. Morgan attacks her in return. Jacklin tackles her out of the Way.

*Lucy manages to pull herself free. One of her Horns breaking off in the Process. She jumps back at Morgan and gives her a Bear Hug, making her unable to move.

*Morgan keeps thrashing about but is unable to break free. It burns a lot, but Lucy doesn’t falter. She has had enough People get killed in front of her.

*As all the Spirits are through, Morgan calms down.

MORGAN: Well. I guess you beat me. My little game is over. Now get this Vermin off of me!

*Lucy lets go. She collapses on the Floor.

ZOEY: What is your Plan now?

MORGAN: Plan?

*Morgan looks at her Decaying limbs. Zoey readies her Shield.

MORGAN: There are no more Plans.

FELIX: …Are you ready to answer my Question then?

MORGAN: If you really want to know… Then come closer.

^{JACKLIN: Don’t. …}

*Felix slowly walks closer. Morgan shoots a Tentacle directly at his Head. Felix narrowly moves his Head out of the Way. His Expression unchanging.

*Morgan is completely frozen. Felix doesn’t even look at her. She already knows what he is thinking. She has been dealt with. The Specifics don’t matter.

*He walks past Morgan and picks up Lucy. They open up a Portal one last time and enter it. Leaving Morgan sitting all by herself.

*They arrive at Earth along all the Spirits they saved, only to realize that the Situation that they brought them into is much more Dire.

*Vivian and Rene pop out at the Top of a Skyscraper.

VIVIAN: Now. Where could that Jerk be?

RENE: Felix said he was at Ed’s Place earlier.

*They look towards the Sky. It is exceptionally Sunny. The Sun seems much bigger than it should be.

VIVIAN: Rene. I was in the Void for a while so remind me. This Heat isn’t normal, right?

RENE: No… Definitely not.

*They see Nickel floating in the Air not too far away. Rene portals closer. He seems like he is straining himself.

RENE: Hey Nickel! What’s going on?!

NICKEL: Rene. Leave. This doesn’t concern you.

RENE: You can’t just leave me in the dark for everything, man! G’s Dead! Why are you here?!

NICKEL: If you wish to know. I was there when he was killed. But he was about to expire soon anyway. And this World of his is a Failure in every Regard. So I am sending it into the Sun to destroy it.

NICKEL: I would simply crush it if I could. But Ed’s Magic is still working. So I have to take the indirect Route. A simple Nudge is all it takes.

RENE: Aha... I see…

RENE: But have you considered… NOT doing that?

NICKEL: …Why.

RENE: I mean… Don’t we still need them?

NICKEL: The only reason we kept them around was to protect the Higher Strata. Which has now fallen.

RENE: But couldn’t you just. Leave them alone then?

NICKEL: …So you are just like Genny. Are you?

RENE: hahaha. Whaaaat? N-n-no. Never.

*Nickel raises his Hand towards Rene.

*Vivian rushes in and tries to hit Nickel with a Clothesline. He floats away to dodge.

NICKEL: You! How?! Grim took care of you!

VIVIAN: Well, he did a pretty bad Job. Cause ALL of us are still alive. And you are the only one left of your little Group.

NICKEL: Ridiculous. You are a Group of Children.

VIVIAN: And you are a bunch of ancient Fossils. And we are here to finish the Job with you!

RENE: Vivian wait!

VIVIAN: Hm?

RENE: We can’t kill him!

VIVIAN: Why not?!

RENE: If the Earth is already headed towards the Sun, then we need his Power to put it back in Place.

VIVIAN: Well, what do you want me to do then?

RENE: Beat him to near Death so that we can force him to move it back into Place.

NICKEL: And how do YOU plan to do that?

*Rene points towards Nickel and shoots a Laser at him. Hitting him in the “Stomach”. Nickel doesn’t flinch.

RENE: Hey now. Don’t underestimate m-

*Nickel lifts him up with Telekinesis and holds him still.

NICKEL: Did you know you were originally meant to be in Isaac’s Position? To be able to rule it all? But you were defective. Time and time again you have proven yourself unworthy. Only able to fulfill the lowest of Tasks. And once again you fail. I will not miss you.

*Nickel pulls apart every single one of Rene’s Body Parts.

*Vivian tries to hit him again and grazes him slightly.

NICKEL: Now you. Beat me into submission? Do not deceive yourself.

VIVIAN: If it was just up to me, I would be ripping you to shreds right now!

NICKEL: You are welcome to try. I am sure all the inhabitants of this Planet will be very happy with you if you did. Alas your Strength is much too little to beat me in time.

*Vivian keeps hitting him. Nickel attempts to flee and dodge, but Vivian keeps catching up to him. Below them she can see People screaming and running around in Terror.

*Rene’s Body disintegrates. His Soul floats about.

RENE: (I was meant to be the new King… I was meant to rule them all. To be a God. What went wrong with me?)

*Rene keeps thinking about it. But those same Gods got beaten up by some homeless Guy that died to a regular Bullet. And they are gone now. It never mattered who is a God and who isn’t. It’s a made up Title. The People that actually cared about him and wanted him around were Mortals. He wasted so much time doing dirty Work. And for what? Nothing???????

*Rene screams. His Body tries to materialize again, but the Heat of his Anger is too Hot. His turns into pure concentrated Light.

*Nickel is still locked in a Stalemate with Vivian as he feels something coming towards him. He tries to dodge but even he cannot move at the Speed of Light. Rene blasts him with a giant Laser that cuts off one of his Legs.

NICKEL: Rene, you do not know what you are doing. You-

RENE: SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY!!!!

*Nickel flinches.

RENE: Always with your high and mighty way of talking. I DON’T WANNA FUCKING HEAR IT!

NICKEL: It seems that I was mistaken about y-

*Rene shoots him with a giant Laser that burns away the outer Layer of Treebark on him.

RENE: Boo FUCKING hoo! Maybe you should have thought about that during the LAST 30 YEARS!

VIVIAN: Hah! Maybe you should’ve been a little nicer to him.

NICKEL: Well. It won’t matter. Beat me as much as you want. The Earth will fall into the Sun all the same.

*They look down. Some Trees have already begun to catch on fire.

RENE: Not on my Watch.

*Rene flies high into the Sky. After a few Seconds it becomes darker as the Sun becomes fully eclipsed.

NICKEL: It seems that it is time for me to disappear.

*Nickel attempts to fly towards outer Space but is instantly walled off by a Wall of Light all around him. The only things inside are him and Vivian.

VIVIAN: Just me and you, Buddy.

NICKEL: I will NEVER accept defeat by the likes of you! If I cannot win then no one can!

*Nickel lifts his Hands up in the Air. Vivian is confused and gets ready to attack again before she notices the Moon in the Sky getting closer.

NICKEL: Once again all it takes is a Nudge.

*Morgan is still frozen. Her surroundings crumble around her. She failed. Isn’t that funny? She saw every outcome. She knew every Danger. And she walked right into the very worst outcome. She can’t stop laughing. Her Laugh turns into intelligible Sound as her Form contorts in unnatural ways. Turning into Static and darkness.

*There is only one Person left that she is able to defeat. Nickel. One last Inconvenience to the last Man standing.

*Her Tendrils tear into the Ground. The Walls. The Ceiling. The entire higher Strata. She wears it all down until it all finally implodes. The Inside of the Moon explodes in return. The different Pieces drift away from each other. Their Trajectory now no longer aimed at Earth.

NICKEL: WHAT?!

*Nickel tries to grab onto it again. But the Dark Energy left behind by Morgan makes it hard. Vivian goes back on the Attack, leaving him no Time to try again.

*However, he was right. She can keep him busy for as long as she likes. If she can’t beat him into submission in time The whole World is doomed.

*Evan sits at the Edge of a Building. Looking down. There are Bottles smashed on the Ground below. Behind him appears Isaac.

ISAAC: I had a feeling you’d be hanging around in this Memory.

EVAN: How did you find me?

ISAAC: I just went through the Memories we shared and ended up here. It was quite easy, really.

EVAN: Yeah. Fate just bends over backwards for you no matter what you do, huh.

ISAAC: …It does seem like that doesn’t it. But that doesn’t matter right now. Stop moping around here. We need you.

EVAN: …Is that supposed to be a Joke?

ISAAC: Do I look like I’m joking?

EVAN: …Hah!

EVAN: No.

*Evan stands up and stands at the very edge of the building.

EVAN: I am a Danger to everyone around me. If I went back, it’s possible that I will just kill everyone I care about. So I will end that possibility right here.

*He seems at Peace.

EVAN: I would recommend that you leave before I do this.

ISAAC: What the hell are you talking about? You are not a Danger.

EVAN: Isaac. I am a Murderer.

ISAAC: That was Years ago. Every time the others talked about you it’s always “Evan is so nice” “He’s so dependable” “I’m glad he’s our Friend”.

*Evan looks away.

ISAAC: You’re not like that anymore.

EVAN: BUT I AM!

ISAAC: ?

EVAN: I saw my father again in here. I was put in the exact same Situation. And I killed him. Again! I am still the exact same. I cannot be trusted.

ISAAC: Well… He was a Jerk! You wouldn’t do that to your Friends.

EVAN: Then what about your Eye?

*Isaac feels at her Eyepatch.

ISAAC: … I deserved it.

EVAN: And Jacklin? And Vivian? I ruined them for the Rest of their Existence! Because I was careless! Everyone’s Lives were in Danger all the Time.

ISAAC: If you truly think that you can’t stop yourself then let me do it for you!

EVAN: What?

ISAAC: I will be your Babysitter if you need me.

EVAN: No offense but… I don’t think you can.

ISAAC: Wanna test me? I’ll take you on right now.

EVAN: Ah. So that’s what this is about. One last shot at beating me, huh?

ISAAC: That’s not…

*She actually didn’t think about it before. Before all she could think about was revenge. She had almost even forgotten about it.

*She dramatically rips off the Eyepatch. The Wound below it almost fully healed.

ISAAC: I tried to fight G, but I lost! But you didn’t! I am not a God! I am no one Special! But right now… You are. And we need you. And I will do anything I can to make sure we win this!

ISAAC: So come on and fight me!

EVAN: If it will make you leave. Fine.

*Both of them ready up in a Fighting Stance. No weapons. Isaac begins by shooting her Arm at Evan like a Spring. He catches it and swings her Overhead. Slamming her into the Ground.

*They Fight for a while. Every time Isaac touches Evan, she feels sick. She isn’t managing to even land a Scratch on him. She pulls out a Knife.

*Evan ###########

EVAN: …

*Evan has impaled Isaac in her Stomach with a Dark Tendril. He removes it. Her insides are moving erratically.

EVAN: I TOLD you! I KNEW that something like this would happen.

*Isaac collapses to the Floor.

EVAN: Look. Just. Go back. Go to Lucy. She can fix you up again. You don’t have to die here with me.

*Isaac slowly pushes herself off of the Ground.

ISAAC: No… I said I would do this, and I will.

EVAN: What?

*Isaac very slowly stands back up. Still with a gaping Hole in her Stomach.

ISAAC: Come on, Evan. It ain’t over yet.

EVAN: I don’t-

*Isaac sucker Punches him and then hits him in the Head with a Roundhouse Kick, knocking him onto the Floor. The Hole in her Stomach is becoming smaller.

ISAAC: Come on!

EVAN: …I don’t want to fight you!

ISAAC: So, are you ready to come along? We have a World to save.

EVAN: Can you stop saying that? I’m not a Hero or Savior or whatever.

ISAAC: But you could be.

EVAN: I can’t just change.

ISAAC: If I can change then so can you.

ISAAC: And even if you try something bad. I will stop you before you can!

*Isaac stretches her Hand out towards Evan who is laying on the Floor. Evan looks at her. Her Eye is healed, as well as every other Injury he inflicted upon her. She is serious.

*He takes her Hand. Trying to burn her as little as possible.

*She opens a Portal and practically drags him through it to the Top of Jacklin’s Apartment Building.

*It’s Hell out here. The Heat is unbearable. The only thing stopping it from being complete Armageddon is Rene who is blocking all the Sun’s Light from reaching them. Focusing it on the Barrier keeping Nickel in Check.

ISAAC: OH! This is. WAY worse than I thought.

EVAN: Do you want me to kill the Sun?

ISAAC: No. We need to kill Nickel. But where the Heck is he?

*Evan points at the giant Light Barrier.

EVAN: Probably there.

*Nickel is still battling Vivian. He notices something wrong appearing close to them. Evan!

*He uses a short Moment to tear away the Floor Evan and Isaac are standing on and flings it into the Air. He could not take any Chances. Vivian, unable to see through the Light Barrier, does not notice.

*The Roof flips in the Air. Separating Evan and Isaac. Isaac fashions herself a Pair of Wings to control herself in the Air… She notices that Gravity was lighter than normal.

*Evan begins to fall towards the Ground at dangerous Speeds. Isaac opens a Portal in front of him and another one Pointing up. He gets sent into the Sky. At the height of his Arc Jacklin flies by and snatches him out of the Air. She then tries to gently lower him to the Ground, but due to Evan’s Aura her Powers start malfunctioning partway through, causing them to go into Freefall again.

*They hit the Floor with a big Thud, leaving a small Crater. Next to them is Zoey who casted a Shield on them at the last Second, protecting them. Felix is holding her Hand. Lucy is sat next to a Building, still unconscious.

ZOEY: Phew! Thanks Felix. I can’t believe that worked.

JACKLIN: Would’ve been better if I could have just done it my way. Much too close for comfort.

*Isaac drops in right after.

ISAAC: Hello Citizens! I have brought our Savior! Evan!

EVAN: Hi. I’m the savior, I guess.

FELIX: Alright. With Evan we might actually have a Chance.

EVAN: Well, you are the Plan guy. What do we do?

FELIX: We were able to gather that Rene has trapped Nickel in that-

JACKLIN: Light Barrier.

FELIX: …Sure. And Vivian is inside with him stopping him from throwing the Earth into the Sun even faster.

EVAN: Wait wait wait. How do we stop the Earth from falling into the Sun?

FELIX: That’s where you come in. We will threaten his Life to force him into fixing things.

JACKLIN: And THEN kill him.

ISAAC: That’s fine and all but uh…

*She looks at everything.

ISAAC: How do we GET Evan there.

EVAN: Yeah, I can’t really fly.

*A Car is driving away from the Carnage. It hits a Bump and starts floating in mid Air, before coming back down.

ZOEY: I think the Gravity of the Sun is going to tear the Planet apart soon.

FELIX: Wait! We can use this.

*Felix gathers everyone around a nearby Car and gives Instructions. In the Blink of an Eye, they are in the Air.

*Isaac transformed the Car into a makeshift Plane shape. Jacklin is giving it Jet Propulsion in the back. Felix is at the steering Wheel. Zoey is putting a Shield around it to protect them from the Light Barrier. Lucy was also put in the back seat for safety. Evan is focusing on not getting everyone killed.

*Vivian has grabbed onto Nickel holding him in Place. Suddenly he feels an Object coming directly towards him. It breaks through the Light Barrier. He attempts to move it away but can’t get a Grip due to Evan’s Influence.

*The Car smashes directly into Nickel. Vivian lets go. It passes through the Barrier again burning off another Bark Layer on Nickel who is stuck on the Car’s Windshield like an oversized Bug.

*Nickel attempts to climb over the Car. Evan climbs up out of a Roof Window and grabs onto Nickel as he comes flying out. The Car keeps going as Nickel and Evan float in the Air.

NICKEL: NO! Let go you Ape! You should be dead!

*Evan does not say anything. It is taking his whole strength to cling onto Nickel’s Torso and not fall to his Death. Nickel’s Telekinesis stops working and they both fall down.

NICKEL: YOU IDIOT! NOW WE WILL BOTH DIE!

EVAN: That’s what you think.

*Evan wrestles Nickel and forces him to hit the Ground first to cushion his own Fall.

*They Land. A Cloud of Dust billows up as they Land in a Field.

EVAN: *Couch* *Cough* *Hack*

*Evan stands up and takes a Step. He almost can’t believe he is still alive. Nickel attempts to lift himself into the Air behind him. He makes it about a Meter before falling to the Ground again.

NICKEL: No… NO!! You ruined me! My Power. It is too weak.

EVAN: Heh. Good. Now fix this Planet or you’re Toast!

NICKEL: …

EVAN: Did you not hear me?!

*Evan walks towards him. The Fog lifts and as Evan gets a good look at Nickel again.

*BANG!

*Nickel is holding Felix’s Revolver. One shot. The Bullet hit Evan right in his Forehead. His Body is arched back from the Impact.

NICKEL: How utterly embarrassing to have to resort to Mortal Weaponry. But if my Time ends here then I will make sure that everybody else’s ENDS TOO! NOW COME FORTH CANNIBAL! AND DEVOUR EVERY SOUL IN THIS UNIVERSE!

*Nothing happens.

EVAN: Heh.

EVAN: Hahaha!

EVAN: AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

NICKEL: What?

*Evan rights himself. He looks directly at Nickel. Blood is dripping down his Face. His eyes wide. He lurches towards Nickel.

NICKEL: W-what? How?! You should be dead!

*He attempts to crawl backwards but is too clumsy to do so. Evan grabs him by the Collar.

EVAN: Oh, I would be. Were I anybody else in the World. But unfortunately for you, I am me.

*Evan’s Arms turn black with Energy.

EVAN: Now die.

NICKEL: B-b-but if you kill me then-

EVAN: Don’t give me this Bullshit. You will never change your mind. You are the worst kind of Person.

*He puts his Hand on Nickel’s Neck. Evan smiles.

*Suddenly Isaac tackles Evan out of the Way. He falls to the Ground. She grabs Nickel’s Collar instead.

NICKEL: Ah. Isaac. You have realized that this World is done for and decided to join me after all.

ISAAC: What? No. Eww. I’m just here to uphold a Promise. Now fix the Planet!

NICKEL: Keep asking all you want. I won’t-

ISAAC: I wasn’t asking.

*Nickel can feel his Body changing. He saw it happen many times to G’s Victims. He never imagined he would be on this Side of the Coin.

NICKEL: Wait! No! You can not do this to me!

ISAAC: Oh, it’s going to be so nice to never have to listen to you again.

*Nickel’s screams get quieter as Isaac turns him into a nice simple Glove. She puts it on and uses Nickel’s Power. She grabs ahold of the Planet. And moves him away from the Sun.

*Gravity becomes normal again. The Heat goes down. The Moon is back to where it should be.

*The Earth is saved!

*Felix, Jacklin, Zoey, Felix come running towards them. Lucy has woken up too and gives Isaac a hug. Vivian floats down from the Sky.

VIVIAN: Did you guys do it? Did we actually save the World?!

ISAAC: Y-yeah.

*Rene falls out of the Sky and splats on the Floor.

RENE: Oh, I am so glad that it wasn’t for nothing. I am SO tired.

ZOEY: What a relief… Everything turned out fine after all.

EVAN: Yaaaay….. Great Job. Everyone.

*Evan shuffles towards them. His Face now completely covered in Blood. His Eyes point different Directions.

*Jacklin and Zoey run towards him and hold him up by the Shoulders. He can no longer hold himself up.

LUCY: Oh no! Evan are you ok?!

EVAN: Yeah… That Stunt earlier was pure Bravado. I am pretty sure that the Bullet hit my Brain. I can taste Metal.

ISAAC: Damnit! Lucy, can you do something?!

LUCY: S-sorry I can’t. We talked about this.

ZOEY: We need to get him to a hospital right away!

FELIX: I fear it’s a bit late for that.

EVAN: Yeah….. You have to put me in the Void.

VIVIAN: What? No! You just got him back from the Void and you already want to send him back?

RENE: If we don’t then this was all for Nothing. We would all be dead too,

VIVIAN: But… We always find a way out of things. Why would this time be different.

EVAN: Sorry Vivian, but… Kind of on a Timer here. But it’s fine. You will be fine.

*Felix opens a Portal, and everyone helps Evan through it.

VIVIAN: No…

*Lucy puts her Hand on Vivian’s Shoulder.

LUCY: It’s ok to cry if you need to…

VIVIAN: Don’t you give me that!

*She floats towards Evan.

RENE: Vivian! No!

VIVIAN: He’s not Dead yet! Let him live!

*She grabs onto Evan, trying to pull him back.

*What everyone else saw was Vivian getting absorbed into Evan. The Shock killing him, releasing the Cannibal above them.

*What Vivian sees is pure nothing. She was in this Place once before. Before Evan cut off most of the Cannibal she got corrupted by.

VIVIAN: Oh god… What did I do…

_{EVAN: Vivian?}

VIVIAN: Evan, I am so sorry. I just- It can’t end like this can it?!

*If Vivian had a Face in this Moment she would be crying.

VIVIAN: After all we went through THIS is how it ends?!

EVAN: Vivian. Did you forget?

VIVIAN: Forget what?

EVAN: I already died over a Month ago. YOU were the Reason I was able to keep living.

VIVIAN: But- But that’s still not enough Time. You are only 24.

EVAN: And what would I do with the Rest of my Life if I managed to die of old age?

EVAN: Vivian. In the short amount of time you gave me, I was the happiest I have ever been. If I had died back then, everybody would be happy that I was gone. But now? People cared about me. I had friends. My Name was cleared. I saved the Planet!

EVAN: I could live to be 80, but I don’t think I would ever accomplish something like this again.

EVAN: And it was all because of you.

VIVIAN: …And now I ruined everything. I’m such a horrible Person. Everyone is going to die because of me…

…

EVAN: Vivian. I have an idea.

VIVIAN: What?

EVAN: I think I can save you. But. It WILL be the last time.

VIVIAN: …

EVAN: All you have to do is promise me one thing.

VIVIAN: Okay?

EVAN: You have to promise me that you will keep going without me.

VIVIAN: But I-

EVAN: No Buts! You have to Promise.

VIVIAN: A-alright. I promise.

EVAN: Thank you.

EVAN: You really were the best Partner I could ever ask for…

EVAN: Goodbye.

*Everyone sees the Cannibal convulse for a while until it suddenly. Stops.

*The Cannibal disintegrates. And in its remains lies Vivian’s Soul. No longer corrupted.

*Lucy catches her and gives her the last bit of Energy she had saved up. She wakes up. She could feel the Warmth. Vivian opens her Eyes. They are back to their regular Coloration. She looks around. Everyone is just as confused as she is. Evan’s Dead Body is lying next to them.

*Vivian begins to cry. It has been a long time since she was able to.

Epilogue

*1 Year later.

*A Car rolls up to a Graveyard. Vivian and Felix step out. The Remaining 5 are already waiting for them.

FELIX: Feels a bit weird seeing everyone in the same Place again…

VIVIAN: It’s been a bit. Yeah. Will be nice catching up.

*Everybody looks pretty different from how they did back then. Most notably Lucy who got a Growth spurt during the Year.

VIVIAN: Hey Lucy. How has Medical School been going?

LUCY: Oh. I don’t actually go there anymore…

VIVIAN: Oh really? Why?

LUCY: I took apart one of the Practice Bodies during a Test and then Stitched it back together. The Professors called it “unprofessional” and “terrifying”.

VIVIAN: Well, that’s dumb.

LUCY: Yeah. But a Coroner heard of it somehow and offered me an internship with him! So it’s all good.

VIVIAN: A Coroner? You don’t help heal People?

LUCY: No. I think at some Point I realized that I don’t want to be responsible whether People live or die. And I don’t want to use my Powers for that either.

LUCY: Also making Autopsies is fun! It’s like a Puzzle sometimes. And afterwards you pretty up the Body so that-

FELIX: I-I think we get it Lucy.

LUCY: Right. Sorry haha.

VIVIAN: You also still live with Isaac, right?

ISAAC: Technically, yes. Though I tend to be all over the Place.

VIVIAN: I would too if I was in your Position.

FELIX: I still can’t believe that you got all the Credit for saving the World.

ISAAC: Hey, it’s not my Fault. Must’ve been some leftover Conditioning from those old Farts.

JACKLIN: It’s not like we could explain what REALLY happened though. Most People would be VERY upset if they found out that we killed the Creators of the Universe.

FELIX: I guess that’s true…

ISAAC: Being a Hero also isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be. People always want help with this and that. Not a Moment of free time.

VIVIAN: It was pretty hard to get ahold of you, yeah.

ISAAC: I’ve been thinking of taking a break from Hero work.

VIVIAN: Do you have something in mind?

ISAAC: WELL, uh. So you see. I was kind of hoping that you could um. That maybe I could be your Assistant for a bit.

*Isaac blushes.

VIVIAN: Oh!

*Vivian blushes too.

VIVIAN: I-I mean. Sure. I could always use an Assistant. My Workload is pretty big lately, so any Help is appreciated.

FELIX: Except when it’s mine apparently.

VIVIAN: Felix you can do the Paperwork I do in a Day in like 30 Minutes!

FELIX: A thank you would still be nice.

ISAAC: Oh yeah. You and Felix share a House, right?

FELIX: I had to make sure she doesn’t return to Robbery somehow.

VIVIAN: Yeah. Instead I’m Defending Criminals. Much better lol.

FELIX: It is!

ISAAC: Rene lives there too if I recall.

VIVIAN: Yeah. They share a bed. I got the Guest Room.

ISAAC: (I will stay at my own Place then.)

VIVIAN: (Good Idea.)

JACKLIN: Is that the Reason why you didn’t accept me as your Assistant, Isaac? Cause you were thinking of taking a break.

ISAAC: I don’t know why you think I needed an Assistant. I don’t fight Criminals. I do stuff like. Land repair. And helping all the Spirits that were trapped in Objects settle into Society.

FELIX: It also took forever to make sure that the Earth actually WAS back in the correct spot. We had to consult Meteorologists like all Year.

ZOEY: And you even fixed the Moon while you were at it.

JACKLIN: It’s so weird seeing it now. I only ever saw the broken one since I was born.

RENE: How are the Spirits settling in by the way?

ISAAC: Mostly fine. There are some outliers though. Some got really violent. Had to beat them up. Pretty easy with absurdly Powerful Telekinesis.

JACKLIN: You still have the Nickel Glove?

ISAAC: Oh. Not anymore. As soon as all the Planetary stuff was settled, I threw it in the Void. Don’t want to give that Jerk any Chance of getting back.

FELIX: I’ve had some run ins with Ed. He isn’t exactly the most moral Person now, but at least he isn’t blackmailing anyone.

JACKLIN: Jean reformed. His Family disbanded though. Apparently that one Kobold is his only Underling now. The Heroes in Kadava are keeping an Eye on him.

VIVIAN: The Spirits from the Jail in St. Graff were pardoned and the Warden Natasha was arrested for inhumane Treatment.

ISAAC: Oh yeah! Remember the Witch that was responsible for all the Transformations for the past 18 years? She was caught and was forced to give People Potions that return them back to normal.

JACKLIN: Right. I WAS told about that.

VIVIAN: And you didn’t take the Chance to become human again?

JACKLIN: No. I think I’m fine like this.

ISAAC: A lot of People were actually. So afterwards she started selling Potions to turn yourself into whatever you want.

JACKLIN: Zoey bought one of those.

ZOEY: D-don’t just tell them!

VIVIAN: Oh really? What Species? Let me guess-

JACKLIN: Yep. Dragon.

*Zoey buries her Head in her Hands.

VIVIAN: Anyway. What have you been doing, Jacklin?

JACKLIN: Went back to Hero School. Turns out doing Vigilantism doesn’t get you far in the Job market. And as Part of that I need to be a Sidekick to a registered Hero for a while. But Isaac didn’t want to, so I had to look someplace else.

VIVIAN: And your Parents are fine with it?

ZOEY: It took some explaining, but since I’m okay with it they don’t have a Reason to object.

FELIX: Have you talked to your own Parents lately Vivian?

VIVIAN: No. Why would I? I’m an adult Woman.

FELIX: Fair enough I suppose…

VIVIAN: Do you still talk to YOUR Dad or something?

FELIX: Of course I do. And my brother too if you want to know. We actually did an Expedition to Sombica recently since he wanted to see the Robot that almost killed us there.

VIVIAN: What a Nutjob.

FELIX: Eh. Every Family is different.

VIVIAN: And you Zoey?

ZOEY: You ask that as if we don’t talk to each other like every Week.

VIVIAN: Yes, but hypothetically if there was someone listening in that hasn’t been keeping track of us the past Year they would want to know.

ZOEY: Y’know. I thought that your “4^th Wall breaks” were a side effect of going insane from the Cannibal Corruption. But no. You are just like that.

ZOEY: Anyway, yeah. I’m still studying. But in Person now.

VIVIAN: Crazy.

ZOEY: I’ve also been helping the Professors in Parascience. We encountered a lot of Edge cases on our little escapade a Year ago. Some very useful info that the general Public doesn’t know about. I might write my thesis on it!

ZOEY: Can you imagine that we never knew that we had Souls because the Grim Reaper stole them from us?

RENE: But only if you died with Regrets or unfinished Business. Living a fulfilling Life causes your Soul to melt into the Aether when you die.

FELIX: Yeah. That’s why the Gods had to keep our Lives Miserable. Otherwise they couldn’t harvest our Souls.

ZOEY: It’s kind of messed up when you think about it.

ISAAC: Only kind of?

VIVIAN: Wow.

ZOEY: You don’t have to act surprised. I know you already know this stuff.

VIVIAN: Yeah. Yeah.

VIVIAN: Are you still up for another gaming session tomorrow?

ZOEY: Oh definitely.

VIVIAN: Alright. That’s all. Let’s go in.

RENE: Oh, come on! You’re not even going to ask me?

VIVIAN: I see you every Day dude. I don’t need to ask you.

RENE: Well, I will tell you anyway.

RENE: Me and Felix started our own Detective Agency after he got fired from the Police.

FELIX: It wasn’t because I did a bad Job. It was because I tried to convince politicians to change the Law around Magic.

VIVIAN: Yes, yes. And you do Spy Missions targeting big Corporations using your Invisibility and Felix’s inhuman Reaction time. I know.

RENE: You should be nice if you want our Help digging up Info on your next Case.

VIVIAN: Oh nooooo. I’m so scareddddd.

VIVIAN: Not like I have my own Powers to help me with that.

RENE: Fine then.

RENE: Wait you have Powers? Since when.

VIVIAN: Wouldn’t you like to know.

RENE: Uh. Yes. I would.

VIVIAN: ;)

FELIX: I’ve been trying to figure out what Ability you have for a while now as well. It’s strange how you have been able to hide it for this long.

VIVIAN: ;P

FELIX: I will get it one day…

VIVIAN: Sure.

*They walk inside the Cemetery. They all stand in front a Grave. The casual Chatter turning into total Silence.

VIVIAN: Hm? Oh. Yeah. I mean. I miss him. Obviously. But what can you do. Can’t keep living in the past.

JACKLIN: Like… A Person that goes out of their Way to help others without wanting a Reward.

LUCY: In that case none of us would be a good Person. Especially not back then.

JACKLIN: I guess so…

VIVIAN: Especially not Rene.

RENE: Come ooon. I turned a new Leaf. Stop rubbing it in.

ZOEY: …I’m glad I got to meet him.

FELIX: Me too.
